1. Celebrate with music

Bumbershoot: Make sure to mark your calendar for Bumbershoot, the weekend-long tradition showcasing over 250 shows in 20 venues. This year will feature live performances by Bob Dylan, Mary J. Blige, Weezer, Hole, Rise Against, Neko Case, Decemberists, J. Cole and more. Happening September 4 through September 6, tickets cost $22 per day. 2. Meat & Beer

Redhook SausageFest: Join the first annual SausageFest at Redhook Ale Brewery in Woodinville on September 18. Watch the University of Washington versus Nebraska football game on the jumbo screen and enjoy dishes from more than 10 Seattle chefs and meat aficionados along with an assortment of Redhook beers. 3. Hit the pavement

Cycle the WAVE: Taking place on September 19, this all-women’s cycling event is hosted by the Lakemont Ladies Cycling Club and Rising Star Guild for the Eastside Domestic Violence Program (EDVP).  The ride is not a race, so take your time and enjoy the scenery with your favorite female riding buddies. Surprises along the way, sassy tees, girly gift bags and fun finish line festivities! 4. Garden Party

Enchanted Garden: Dinner and Auction at Bellevue Botanical Garden on Sept. 24. Join the Bellevue Botanical Garden for their annual Enchanted Garden. Dinner, cocktails, and silent and live auctions, which include many experiences you can’t find elsewhere and original plants. Evening Magazine’s John Curley is the auctioneer again this year. 5. All about the kids

Steppe Up for Kids: Catalina’s Hope Guild will host the 6th annual Steppe Up for Kids event on September 25 to raise money for Seattle Children’s uncompensated care. In addition to an evening featuring Steppe Cellar wines with gourmet food pairings, there will be numerous raffles and silent auction items. Tickets are $75 per person.
