With fall settling in, Tap House Grill in Bellevue has announced the return of Oktoberfest, an authentic beer festival celebrating the best in German beers.

You know what this means – the return of Pint Nights.

“This year’s Pint Nights will take place Monday through Thursday, September 20th through 23rd,”  explained Paul Reder, Tap House Grill owner and Beer Connoisseur. “We will have four beers on special, one for each day and our guests can keep the glass for the particular beer that is featured that night. Many of our guests come all four nights to collect all four of the glasses.”

Throughout the month of September, both Tap House Grill locations (Bellevue & Seattle) will offer several local and imported German beers including Spaten, HB Hofbrau, Hacker Pschorr and Paulaner.

Along with the additional German beers, authentic German menu items will also be added to the lineup, including brats simmered in beer along with traditional German sauerkraut and many other authentic flavors from Germany.

“Oktoberfest gives us the opportunity to bring the flavors of Germany right here to Seattle and Bellevue,” said Reder.

Oktoberfest Facts

1. In 1997, Oktoberfesters consumed more than 5 ½ million liters of beer, about 45,000 liters of wine, and almost 165,000 liters of nonalcoholic beer.

2. The local name for Oktoberfest, “Wies’n,” is derived from Theresienwiese, the name of the field on which the festival is held.

3. The festival halls in Munich can seat 94,000 people.

4. The beers that the Munich breweries produce specially for Oktoberfest contain 4.5 percent alcohol.

5. Cincinnati, Ohio, which claims to hold the “largest authentic Oktoberfest” in the U.S., draws about 500,000 people to its celebration.

Along with the Tap House Grills own Oktoberfest celebration, Tap House has been sponsoring the Fremont Oktoberfest Buxom Beer Garden for the past four years. This event will take place September 24th through September 26th in the Fremont neighborhood of Seattle.

Tap House Grill is a beer lovers dream, offering over 160 beers on tap and a unique menu full of northwest favorites cooked and prepared in beers from around the world.
