Editor’s note: I’ve got the fever
It’s here! It’s here! Spring in the Northwest.
If you didn’t catch it in my last column, I’ll reiterate: Spring is my favorite time in Washington. Blue skies? Sunshine? A slight breeze? Yes, please! It’s magic.
For this issue of The Scene, we’re talking about a variety of things you can do around the Eastside this spring:
Looking for something to help you work on that beach bod? The Briora Ballroom in Redmond is open for business – and they’ve got all sorts of fitness and dance classes to get you in shape.
Or maybe you want to spend some time outdoors? Then it would be good for you to read up on birdwatching on the Eastside.
If you’re looking for something to entertain you, we’ve got that too: Comedian April Macie will be at the Parlor Live Comedy Club this month – and from what we’ve heard, her jokes are just as fiery as her ginger mop! We’ll also be celebrating Cinco de Mayo in style this year – sipping on high-end tequilas from Agave Cocina (Issaquah and Redmond) and Matador (Redmond); they’ve each got quite the offering – and were excited to try something other than Patrón.
Not 21? No problemo. We’ve got all the scoop on live music venues that specialize in ALL AGES shows. There may not be as many venues for underage music peeps as there used to be – but those on the Eastside are rocking (literally).
AND NAILS! We’re all about making our fingertips fancy this spring – with bright colors and fun patterns and glitter. Lots of glitter.
So leave those April showers behind, put on those shades and get ready for the best season of the year!
