Eastside Drinks For Drinks event raises $171k

Drinks For Drinks, a community event hosted by Eastlake Community Church this past Friday, raised more than $171,000 for Charity: Water. Kirkland-based band, The Herding Cats, played a rockstar-worthy set in front of 2,500 people at the Bothell campus. The event was sponsored in part by Matthews Estate Winery and Redhook Brewery.
The ongoing Drinks For Drinks campaign by Eastlake Community Church has exceeded the orignial goal by more than a $100,000 and is estimated to serve 8,102 people through the work of Charity: Water, a non-profit organization bringing clean and safe drinking water to people in developing nations.
