David Lawrence opens shop at The Bravern
David Lawrence continues to push the limits when it comes to the Northwest fashion scene.
The clothing boutique, carrying exclusive designer brands for both men and women, held a grand opening at its new location at The Shops at The Bravern. David Lawrence has been styling men and women in the Seattle and Eastside areas for the past decade and now has a fresh platform to reach a whole new cliental.
“This new space is just incredible and really, it’s a breath of fresh air,” said David Blackham, president of David Lawrence. ”I think there is a different dynamic here at The Bravern and a certain level of sophistication.”
David Lawrence sets itself apart from other Bravern retailers by carrying an array of designer labels including DSquared2, Sand, Versace Collection, Hugo Boss, Moschino, Iceberg, Just Cavalli and D&G.
“When we first opened nearly a decade ago, the Seattle shoppers wanted the more edgy fashion and the Eastside was a little more conservative. Over the years, things have changed. Now its the Eastside shoppers who want the show-stopping pieces and edgier looks,” he explained.
With the recent move to The Bravern, David Lawrence is now among a long list of fashion power houses including Neiman Marcus, Louis Vuitton, Jimmy Choo, Hermes and more.
“We’re among luxury brands, but we offer designer labels at an entry price point,” Blackham pointed out. The store also carries local Seattle designer names including Muratori purses and one-of-a-kind pieces from Rock Star Jewelry.
Blackham recognizes there may be less foot traffic at The Bravern then his store experienced at its previous location at Bellevue Square, but he remains confident in his decision to relocate to a new space.
“There’s a certain value here,” he said. “I’m among good company.”
