1. Miniature Golf

The Scoop: Crossroads Golf Course is open from March 1 through October 31. The Course opens daily at 9 a.m., and closes one hour before dusk. No tee times are required. The Crossroads Par 3 is a 9 hole Course that is an excellent beginner, short game and family course that takes about an hour to play. The holes range in length from 63-107 yards.

2. Summer Stage Concerts

3. Ste. Michelle Concerts

The Scoop: Grab a blanket and hit the lawn for the 2010 Chateau Ste. Michelle Summer Concert Series. This year’s line up includes 17 concerts spanning the range of pop, jazz, rock and blues through September 25th. Each concert takes place in the winery’s picturesque outdoor amphitheater with seating for 4,300.

4. Boating

The Scoop: If you don’t have your own boat, don’t sweat it. Hop over to Yarrow Bay Marina located in Kirkland to rent a boat for a day (Must be 25 years +). All boats are fully equipped with life jackets, a life cushion, a fire extinguisher, flares, a paddle, fenders, lines, and Coast Guard required signage regarding waste disposal rules.Yarrow Bay Marina is a full-service marina, offering moorage, fuel, boat repair, boat rentals, and parts and accessories.
5. Firework Wonder

The Scoop: Find a number of dining spots around Bellevue and near Downtown Park by visiting http://www.eatbellevue.com/. After dinner, pop over to the green lawn at Bellevue Downtown Park for a live performance by the Philharmonic Orchestra and firework show at the 2010 Symetra Bellevue Family 4th. The all-day event will be highlighted by the Bellevue Parks Family Fun Zone and live music and entertainment on the Main Stage. Over 60,000 visitors are expected to attend.

The Scoop: The Crab Pot Restaurant & Bar features fresh local seafood. The Scoop: The Bellevue Arts Festival takes place the weekend of July 23 through July 25 and features 180 popular artisans and craftspeople from the Northwest and beyond. Produced by the Craft Cooperative of the Northwest, a percentage of proceeds raised at the festival benefits local charities.

The Scoop: The Parks & Community Services Department maintains more than 50 miles of trails throughout Bellevue. Popular trails to explore in the summer time include the Ardmore Trails, Kelsey Creek Park & Nature Trails, Lake Hills Greenbelt Trail, Mercer Slough Nature Park Trails and Wilburton Hill Park Trail. 9. Bike Rides
Readers Summer Suggestion: Nice long bike ride from Bellevue to the Mountains to Sound trail along I-90, back across Mercer Island, up through Bellevue to the 520 Grill patio for some good food, drinks and conversation! -Margie
The Scoop: The Mountains to Sound Greenway was created in 1990 to keep an accessible landscape of forests, wildlife habitat and natural areas as breathing room for people, and a place of incomparable beauty, history and outdoor recreation. Today, the Greenway surrounds 100 miles of Interstate 90 in Washington State from the waterfront in Seattle to the edge of desert grasslands in Central Washington. 10. Delicious Eats
Readers Summer Suggestion: My perfect Eastside summer day starts with delicious breakfast at Belle Pastry on Main, moves on to the Meydenbauer Park for a nice view and maybe some fun water activity. After- back to downtown for light lunch at Sushi Yama (our favourite hidden gem for sushi) and shopping in Lincoln Square with movies/bowling at Lucky Strike to follow. Not to forget to stop by at Bellevue Arts Museum to check new exhibition. After – A little walk in the Bellevue downtown park with some nice gelato from Safeway on the corner. -Lana
